In a centralised air conditioning or heating installation thermostats and dampers are installed in each of the zones to be air conditioned and a central control unit to manage the entire system.

The thermostats measure the temperature in each room, the central control unit processes the information received and acts on the zone dampers (air dampers or electric water valves) and on the device for producing cold and heat (Heat pump, Fan coil unit, boiler, etc.), obtaining the temperature desired by the user at any time with the minimum possible consumption.

The communication gateways with the production units and the constant pressure regulation systems in the air ducts are essential items of equipment for optimising the installation.
